Below are stories of real people who have been at risk of hunger because they didn’t know where their next meal would come from (often referred to as “food insecurity”). Others have experienced hunger in their lives. Yet others, tell their stories of assisting households struggling with food insecurity and the stigma that society places on them. They talk about the shame they often feel and see in the faces around them. It’s time to reverse this stigma and debunk the myths that exist about people who face hunger.
